Job Description
Clinical Veterinarian in Comparative Medicine

The Institute of Comparative Medicine (ICM) at Columbia University is seeking highly motivated veterinarians with at least two years clinical experience in laboratory animal medicine. ICM veterinarians are an integral and highly regarded component of the biomedical research effort at Columbia University. You would work closely with veterinary and medical specialists as part of a multi-doctor team managing several species in a biomedical environment. ICM's role is multi-disciplinary and encompasses veterinary care of multiple species; resident and researcher training; provision of regulatory advice; and teaching and research.

ICM and Columbia University offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits program including 5 weeks vacation; subsidized housing; medical, dental and pension plans; and a subsidized tuition program for qualifying staff and their children. Requirements
The successful candidate will:
  • have clinical experience
  • have excellent interpersonal skills
  • have a DVM (or equivalent) degree from an accredited school of veterinary medicine
  • be eligible to obtain a New York State Veterinary License

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed residencies or certification in lab animal medicine.
