Steinbeck Country Equine clinic is looking to fill one internship position from February 2018-February 2019. We are a private ambulatory and referral practice in Salinas, CA with an ambulatory branch in Woodside, CA. We provide comprehensive care to our patients by offering surgery, internal medicine, emergency/critical care, ophthalmology, cardiology, lameness, and advanced imaging services as well as adjunctive therapies.
This third intern will work with two other interns rotating as the Primary/In House Intern, Secondary/Surgical Intern and Out/Field Intern. The intern roles are to assist with in-house and ambulatory cases, surgery and anesthesia, evening and weekend treatments, and on call emergency duties. Our goal is to provide mentorship balanced with responsibility, and offer opportunities for special focus. By the end of the internship year doctors will have deepened their diagnostic, surgical, and technical skills as well as their understanding of equine medicine. Our interns leave having experience in a busy general practice as well as specialty training by board certified specialists (DACVS, DACVIM, DACVSMR, DABVP)
