Tired of working for a practice or corporation that continues to be stagnant with no sign of progression or evolution? Do you want a THREE day work week? Then look no further than Flowertown Animal Hospital (FAH).
I don’t need to sell you on the location: Charleston, SC is ranked the best city in the US and Canada by Travel and Leisure, and the second-best city in the world! Flowertown Animal Hospital is technically in Summerville, SC, but our schools are among the best in the state and we are still just 40 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from walking on King St downtown. Not to mention, Summerville has grown by 35% in the last five years, making it the fastest growing town in the state.
FAH is a progressive and rapidly growing, small animal practice with plans for continued expansion in the years to come. I purchased FAH in December 2015 and haven’t let up in my quest to make us the premiere veterinary facility in Summerville. We are well on our way to this goal with exceptional customer service, client communication, and standard of care medicine at the forefront of our mission.
We have an excellent staff; composed of 2.5 veterinarians, 1 hospital manager (LVT), 5 technicians (recent LVT graduate) and 4 receptionists. Our support staff is top notch and are a tremendous asset to our hospital. Please see our website to learn more about our fantastic group of dedicated employees. In addition to the current staff, we have been fortunate enough to hire 2 new receptionist and 2 of the 4 technicians that we need to provide support for our new extended hours.
Since purchasing the clinic in December of 2015 we have transitioned from a 1,200 sq. foot building into a new 3,000 sq. foot building that contains 5 exam rooms, a surgery suite, treatment area, dental suite and separate full in-house Idexx /radiology suite. We quickly invested in upgraded equipment in order to practice standard of care; Digital Radiography, CR dental radiography, Bionet BM7 monitoring, 3 additional IV pumps, additional anesthesia machines, Baer Hugger, new wet table, and new surgical instruments to name a few.
While this equipment doesn’t define us, it allows us to continue to adapt/progress with the times and push our medical and surgical standards. I will not let cost get in the way of allowing our doctors to bring the very best medicine to our clients, and, in most cases, we will figure out a way to obtain what is needed to elevate our care. We are also in the middle of becoming a Cat Friendly Practice and one of the area's only AAHA-accredited hospitals.
I’m looking to add an additional full-time veterinarian to our practice who is comfortable working independently and as a part of our team, have good surgical skills and whose focus remains on communication, patient AND client care, and quality medicine. We currently see dogs, cats and exotics and welcome anyone with the right personality to push our current standards.
The new positions will cover our new extended hours from 7pm to midnight. The new shifts will be from Noon to midnight 3 days a week rotating monthly between either Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays OR Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays..
We push the limits to having a great work/life balance as well as providing exceptional benefits package: CE, organization dues/licensure/insurance, paid time off. We are also providing 401k and health insurance starting January 2018.
Please contact me with additional questions and to setup a time to further discuss the best choice you could make for your career.
Surgical skills, ability to work independently AND as a team, impeccable client communication and patient care
