JOB SUMMARY: This position is for a manager with responsibility for the IDEXX Telemedicine business. focusing on our global team of virtual specialists.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the Telemedicine teams (including Radiology, Dentistry, Exotics & Dermatology) assigning work, monitoring activities and evaluating performance. Manages escalated/critical issues.
Assist senior management in the development and execution of the business plan.
Provide input of operating budget and marketing plans
Participate in the medical quality control program
Participate in the development of new procedures to continually improve client service and diagnostic yield.
Promote the growth of IDEXX Telemedicine by actively participating in veterinary meetings and professional contact with clients.
Manage caseload and turnaround expectations, assisting in workforce management
Participate in specialist recruiting
Promote growth of IDEXX Telemedicine team continuing education – both received and provided
Communicates and coordinates with related departments within telemedicine or across IDEXX as needed to support strategic initiatives.
Maintains knowledge of the Company products and services and department knowledge as well as changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities. May participate in outside industry groups and forums related to business activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Advanced Management training (MBA, Masters in Organization Development, Human Resources, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both medical professionals and senior management.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and negotiations
Proven leadership skills with ability to set and guide staff on business, medical and developmental objectives.
Team working skills, especially virtual teams, and the ability to feel comfortable working with different work teams, clients and groups of staff across the organization.
Demonstrated skill in motivating and unifying individuals around a common purpose
