We are a busy multi-doctor hospital looking for a motivated veterinarian with great interpersonal communication skills to join our Team. We are an extremely well equipped, sophisticated practice with a well trained, established support staff. We have a full in house lab, pharmacy, digital radiography, high quality ultrasound machine, digital dental radiographs, separate surgery suite, surgical and cold lasers, electrocautery, and CT.
We frequently utilize board certified surgeons, internists and dental specialists within our practice as individual cases require. These specialists are easily accessible via phone and email, making communication about cases and consultation times very easy. We also make routine use of advanced imaging services through the local university.
We are open 7 days a week to better serve our clientele. Associate Veterinarians have a 3-5 day work schedule providing ample opportunity for the successful candidate to enjoy South Florida’s beautiful beaches and local amenities.
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes.
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality of medical care.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems
Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic veterinarian to join our group. Team work is essential. We are looking for someone who enjoys in-depth case management and has a personable bedside manner. Internship training is preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
