Veterinarian need for AAHA certified small animal hospital in NE Ohio, (Salem). We are looking for Full-Time or Part-Time veterinarians for a growing, long established and very busy small animal practice providing quality medicine to a large client base. I urgently need to fill the daytime shift and I am looking for 2 veterinarians to start an ER shift. We are a full-service hospital with in-house lab, digital radiology/ultrasound, large treatment area, full surgery suite and all the equipment you need to manage your patients. Our services include Wellness, Sick, Surgery, Urgent care, Critical care, Intensive care, and daytime Emergency services. Our staff are dedicated and experienced so doctors can leverage their time. We believe in using available technology to provide the best medicine possible. We are a progressive practice, and try to provide human quality medicine for our patients while tailoring it to the client's needs and income. Our Motto is the needs of the patient come first. Our clients come to us because of our reputation for excellence and compassionate care. We have an experienced and friendly staff. The hospital is large (9000 sq ft) and recently renovated. We have a full in house lab, ultrasound, dental machines, digital x-ray machine, 2 large surgery suites, isolation room, large treatment area, with 3 ICU units and critical care cages, with facility to house up to 34 patients. We do provide MINOR after hour on call care (typically 6 - 7 cases per month per doctor) but most emergencies are sent to one of the animal ER centers nearby. We are very active in our community providing support for local activities and charities. We provide medical care for several rescue groups, local police department canine units, animals found by the fire department, and we work with the local hospitals to care for pets that end up coming in with their owners during an emergency and have no one to care for them. We are looking to expand our hours out to midnight and hope to offer 24-hour care in the future once we fill our daytime shift. We are open 7 days a week with doctors sharing weekends and after hour calls. The average work week is 40 - 45 hours per week. The community is supportive, and we pull clients in from as far as 50 miles away. However, we have clients that travel all over so we also have clients all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. Quality of life for doctors and staff is important to the welfare of the hospital. Our doctors and staff have families and we make sure they have their family time and aren’t worked to death. A reasonable work week is provided and after hour on call or animal care is equally shared so no one doctor or staff member is burdened. New Graduates or Experienced Veterinarians welcomed. Mentoring is provided. If you are looking for a practice that provides excellent medicine and provides you the tools to do it, then you’ll want to work here. Since Dr. Brooks purchased the hospital there have been many changes and improvements in the services and the hospital. We believe in using available technology to provide the best medicine possible. We are a progressive practice, and try to provide human quality medicine for our patients whil...e tailoring it to the client's needs and income. Our Motto is the needs of the patient come first. Our clients come to us because of our reputation for excellence and compassionate care. We are one of the larger general practice hospitals in the area. Besides the usual services seen in a general practice, we also offer daytime urgent and emergency care for other veterinarians' patients. We have an experienced and friendly staff. We describe our place in the industry as falling in that gray area between the general practice and the specialty/referral centers. We are very active in our community providing support for local activities and charities.
