Our growing 2 doctor mixed animal practice located in Richmond KY is seeking a full or part time veterinarian to join our team. Applicants must be willing to work on both large and small animals for routine medical care and emergency work. New grads are welcome to apply and mentorship will be available. Benefits include vacation time, paid emergency work, paid license fees, paid AVMA membership, and paid club dues. Full-time veterinarian would work approximately 5 days a week and be on a rotating schedule for after-hours/weekend emergency duty. Part-time veterinarian would work 1-2 days a week and every 3rd weekend (part-time hours are negotiable) with occasional on-call emergency duty. Salary is based on experience and competitive with other mixed animal practices.
W&W Veterinary Services is located in a busy agricultural area with a heavy cattle population. Our cattle section services primarily cow-calf operations and stocker & backgrounder operations. We provide routine preventative care for the farms as well as emergency care. Besides cattle, we also provide care for sheep, goats, hogs and horses. Our facilities include a haul in cattle handling facility equipped with a tub/alley and a new Q-catch chute. We also have an equine facility that is equipped with stocks, two stalls, and procedures area.
Our small animal section provides routine preventative care, surgery, emergency services, and in-patient care for sick patients. Equipment includes x-ray, Heska chemistry and hematology machines, iStat blood gas machine, surgical suite with gas anesthesia, and much more.
Richmond Kentucky is located 45 minutes south of Lexington and is home to Eastern Kentucky University. There are several large supermarkets in town as well as a shopping center. Lexington, a short drive away, has hundreds of restaurants, more shopping opportunities, and plenty of exciting events to attend.

W & W Veterinary Services is a growing mixed animal practice currently with two veterinarians. Our practice is 60% food animal, 35% small animal, and 5% equine. Our food animal work is predominately beef cattle which includes processing feeders, pregnancy checking cows, and stockyard work. We have a haul-in facility which includes multiple holding pens, tub, alley, chute, tilt table, calf NICU,... equine stocks, and stalls. Our small animal facility includes in-house blood work Heska CBC and Chemistry, ISTAT, inhalant anesthesia, and x-ray.
