South Putnam AnimalHospital is looking for dynamic, caring people to join our amazing team and is seeking a full time Associate Veterinarian. We are a 5 doctor practice that provides quality care to our patients as well as our clients. We are located in Mahopac, NY located on the border of Putnam and Westchester counties and have been in the community since 1984.
We have a good technician to doctor ratio, allowing our doctors to focus on being doctors and not techs, but our staff is comprised of long-term, experienced, team-oriented professionals, operating in state-of-the-art facilities complete with in-house lab, digital x-ray and all the support our new doctor will need.
We are looking to add a doctor to our team who is an independent, strong, friendly voice that is comfortable practicing only the highest possible standard of care. We would prefer the applicant have 3+ years’ experience in general practice. In addition, the applicant should be able to work alone as well as on a team; be strong with surgery basics (spay, neuter, dentistry, etc.); understand that better medicine is worth the investment/value; spend time on client communication rather than on technical skills. Applicant must have a strong work ethic, friendly demeanor, love for both cats and dogs, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners.
Compensation: For full-time veterinarians we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including the ability to earn a potential production bonus, paid vacation, 401(k) plan with a match better than most, continuing education allowance, and dues/licensure paid for.

We have grown into a five-doctor practice providing the health care needs of dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, and pocket pets. We understand how special your pet is to you and look forward to helping you share a healthy, happy life together. We are committed to providing the highest level of veterin...ary medical care, diagnosis, and treatment for your pet.
Pets are now, more than ever, a part of our families. By practicing preventive health care, we are helping pets to enjoy longer, healthier lives. Personally, we can't imagine anything better than helping you have your furry friends for as long as possible.
As always, our doctors and staff continue to grow along with medical technology to give you the latest options to best care for your pet. We look forward to our continued relationship and many more years providing pet health and behavior care for our community.
