SUMMARY: To participate as a member of the administrative team by assisting in the planning, marketing, developing and coordinating of the instructional offerings of veterinary technician courses through the Allied Health and Science Division at Northampton Community College and the School of Science, Engineering and Mathematics at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The program is run jointly between Northampton Community College and Lehigh Carbon Community College. The Program co-director must be responsible for organizing continuous program review and development processes that assure program effectiveness. The programs co-director’s appointment must include sufficient time for administrative and teaching responsibilities as well as opportunities and support for professional development.

Education: (a) attainment of a Doctorate degree (DVM/VMD) from a regionally accredited college, or equivalent education; Must be a currently licensed Veterinarian.
Experience: (a) professional healthcare experience; and/or development and administration of healthcare training programs;
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) knowledge of current concepts of learning and training theories; (b) ability to develop, market, implement, supervise and evaluate appropriate offerings; (c) creativity; ability to initiate new program directions; (d) ability to develop and cultivate community contacts; public speaking skills; (e) excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; (f) ability to work effectively as team member; (g) well organized; ability to follow through on details; (h) ability to accept and adapt to change. Must possess a high level of commitment to continuous professional growth.
