| APC Veterinary, the highest rated veterinary hospitals in Northeast Oklahoma (www.apcvet.com/google), is continuing to grow our busy, technology-driven veterinary team that has served Tulsa and Broken Arrow since 1956. We were awarded Oklahoma Magazine's Best of the Best Veterinarians due in a large part by our deep personal relationships with our clients. We provide very high quality medical care with more innovative medical technology and services than most clinics, including ultrasound, therapy laser, surgical laser, digital radiology, full dental services including digital dental xray imaging, advanced patient monitoring equipment, in-house chemistry and hematology lab, orthopedic surgery, and so much more. |
Our doctors work together based on their individual areas of focus to treat the full range of pets including companion animals, exotics, and equine. We are a highly collaborative workplace with very low turnover, and we have an extremely strong nursing team that enables our doctors to succeed. And we have a bi-lingual team to meet the needs of our diverse client base.
Our range of services are second to no other clinic our size in America. We provide the highest quality medical care possible with the best tools we can find. We believe in data-driven medical services, which results in some of the highest success rates of any hospital. We dedicate resources to aggressively managing our supply chain so we can control costs and provide the best possible value to our clients. We are the 2nd largest, non-commercial veterinary lender in the US, which enables us to save pets even when clients are financially constrained. And we even manufacture some medical devices that are sold in the veterinary channel.
THE POSITION: We are recruiting for a confident, intelligent veterinarian that believes in continuous growth and enjoys developing deep personal relationships with clients and patients. Our veterinarians are supported by an extremely well qualified team that includes outstanding RVT’s and Veterinary Assistants, and a team of dedicated managers for client services, medical services, accounting and finance. The incoming DVM will take over for a doctor that is relocating out of state to be close to family, so they will inherit an existing client base that is both loyal and passionate about APC. This position may be full or part time, and the compensation is high compared to the regional average due to the strong month-to-month client growth. Target total compensation exceeds $100K for full time doctors, or a pro-rated amount for those wanting to work part time.
Employee benefits include excellent healthcare, vision and dental programs. Employees receive most pet care at wholesale prices. Employees may also participate in multiple overlapping monthly bonus programs and company paid certification for RVTs. All positions require strong client service, communication and technology experience. For those able to learn quickly, this is an excellent opportunity to quickly and dramatically expand your skills in ways that are not available from most other clinics. Therefore, individuals should only apply if they enjoy and can quickly learn a range of tools and technology. Veterinary program students may want to consider this position to meet their externship or preceptor requirements. Most positions at APC may be full or part time depending on the skills of the candidate and their match within the broader team. For strategic staff positions (typically DVM and licensed technicians), relocation and on-boarding expense assistance is available as are options for equity participation in practice expansion.
OUR TEAM: Most importantly, our staff is relationship driven with each other and our clients. Applicants must have great communication skills, a passion for working in this industry, and a desire to be part of a team that enjoys working together. Applicants are expected to know their strengths, be open and honest about weaknesses, and be able to manage around these. Most employees prefer to work 4 days each week, with alternating Saturdays off, and we are closed on Sunday. Some employees prefer to work part time/flex time in order to spend more time with their families or to work around family commitments. Others prefer to work more in order to maximize their income. Veterinary students looking for internship experience are always welcome to apply. We are a smoke free, drug free facility, and any visible tattoos must be minimal in order to fit in with a professional medical environment.
