Our expanding, AAHA Accredited, small animal and exotic practice in beautiful Huntington Beach, CA is looking for a part time or full-time, associate veterinarian to join our 6-doctor practice. We are open 7 days a week. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience and be focused on quality care and excel at assuring client satisfaction. An interest in exotic pet medicine, a strong surgical background, and aptitude with ultrasound are helpful but not required.
Our hospital is a comfortable facility that is an enjoyable place to work. We are equipped with all of the bells and whistles. We have an excellent support staff and a loyal clientele base, built over the last 30 years. In addition, we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, open rapport amongst colleagues and a sound knowledge of progressive medicine and surgery. The Animal Hospital of Huntington Beach was established in 1978 and has been serving the city of Huntington Beach and the surrounding areas with caring, experienced veterinary care for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and exotics. We are a full service veterinary hospital offering a wide range of veterinary medical services including; laser surgery, digital radiography, digital dental radiography,... ultrasound, and laser therapy. In addition, we have an indoor, climate controlled boarding kennel with separate areas for dogs, cats, birds, and other exotics. We also offer hydro-surge bathing and grooming services.
We have been AAHA accredited for over 30 years. We are also a teaching hospital for Western University of Health Sciences Veterinary School and our Hospital Director is an associate professor at Western State University. We provide medical care to our city's Canine police officers and service a local, private animal shelter and numerous rescue group patients. We have an excellent, long term staff and employ over ten registered veterinary technicians (RVT's) to assist our 7 veterinarians. Our hospital is currently undergoing an expansion, and when completed, we will have more than 8,000 sqft of beautiful, medical space.
