Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS) is seeking an experienced and/or internship-trained Emergency Doctor to join our incredible Emergency-Critical Care Department.

Our level 1 VECCS-certified ECC Department that has the staff, expertise, tools and technology for optimum patient care and clinical efficiency. The department comprises an Emergency Service and a dedicated ICU, staffed by a robust and talented support team that includes several veterinary technician specialists and client liaisons. We are fully equipped with in-house lab (including COP and TEG), ultrasound, CT, and advanced monitoring and treatment capabilities.
CUVS has board-certified specialists in Emergency-Critical Care (3), Internal Medicine (3), Surgery (2), Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry & Oral Surgery, Dermatology, Cardiology, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, as well as advanced Interventional Radiology-Endoscopy. Our Emergency doctors are an integral part of the cohesive CUVS medical and leadership teams, collaborating with all specialists.
A typical week for an Emergency doctor is 3 shifts that approximate 40 hours per week. Emergency doctors work closely with criticalists 7 days per week and are well supported by other specialists during work hours and on-call. Our culture promotes professional growth through collaboration as well as journal club, M&M rounds, and our educational series. In addition, Emergency Doctors can benefit from our intensive ECC resident training. A CE allowance enables annual travel to national conferences.
