Feedlot Veterinarian required in southern Alberta to work with 2 other associate veterinarians. Practice provides herd health, emergency, regulatory and research services to several large beef feedlots, including one lamb lot, in the area. Must speak and write English and be physically fit and have valid driver's license. Looking for motivated, energetic person who is flexible, independent, hard working, has initiative, is detail oriented, organized, and a team player. Regular work day hours with rotational weekend call schedule with other vets. No night calls. New office, computer, vet truck and equipment, and cell phone provided. Located close to Lethbridge with all the amenities including good schools, college, university, shopping, hospital. Close to Rocky Mountains for hiking/skiing/hunting/fishing. Feedlots within 30 minute drive so can be home at nights. CE and benefits package provided. Social medicine system in Canada.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree NAVLE Certificate (North American Veterinary Licensing Exam) Post-graduate training on nutrition, epidemiology, or beef/food animal medicine an asset but not required. Experience with beef/feedlot cattle an asset Will consider new graduates or new post-docs
