The RGV Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, a well established, non-profit is seeking a full-time Veterinarian for its high quality, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic located in McAllen, TX. We are a Humane Alliance mentored clinic committed to reducing the number of homeless, sick and injured pets entering local shelters. We have performed more than 56,000 surgeries since opening in 2009, offering our services to the general public, local animal centers and rescues. In October 2016, after almost 7 years at our original location; we moved our fully equipped, computerized practice into a newly renovated 6,000 s.f. facility suited for a growing practice.
We are looking for a motivated, well rounded Veterinarian to join our expanding practice and help lead our dedicated experienced veterinary support staff. We are looking to expand our practice to include income based, limited general medicine in an effort to better serve the growing population of the Rio Grande Valley. The need is great with a population of over 1.3 million of which an average of 33% are living below the poverty level.
New graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided. Salary is negotiable and based on experience. Benefits are provided, including but not limited to: medical and professional insurance, licensing and professional association fees and continuing education.
Must be a licensed Veterinarian in good standing in the state of Texas or eligible.
High volume spay/neuter and general practice experience, preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Must be willing to participate in the training of veterinary staff.
Must ensure all staff members adhere to proper care of all patients.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
