Animal Medical of New City, located in New City, New York, is looking for a full-time, experienced, veterinary professional interested in growing his or her management skills.
New City is a safe, beautiful, bedroom community of New York City. We are a 45 minute drive from Manhattan, with plenty of green space, hiking trails, wonderful restaurants, and great schools.
We're a progressive, well-respected practice interested in taking our superior medicine and client service to new heights, but we need your help to get there. Here are the qualities that we're looking for:
Management Objective: To coordinate superior, friendly, and efficient client and patient care by bringing out the very best our medical team has to offer.
More specifically, the successful manager will:
Manage the day-to-day activities in our facility, taking care that we have adequate supplies, equipment, functionality, and the teamwork to get our jobs done.
Provide vision forward by organizing meetings, bringing new ideas into the practice, facilitating discussions with team members, and having a big picture view of our operations.
Bring a desire to grow personally and professionally. With time and training, we expect you to think and act like an owner.
Organize monthly meetings to review standards of care and service protocols with the whole team.
Keep a record of continuing education and training requirements for all team members. Personally ensure that our team is learning and retaining important practice protocols and medical information.
Take full responsibility for our team’s overall performance.
Work with Halow Consulting to manage marketing, all HR responsibilities, and business growth initiatives.
Work with the medical director to ensure follow-through on his and other practice initiatives.
Complete regular schedules for the doctors and staff that reduce overtime and provide the practice enough coverage to meet its goals.
Accurately and timely prepare payroll.
Ensure an efficient inventory system.
Organize and accurately maintain our employee benefits program.
Lead by example.
We envision a self-starter for this position; a person who is empathetic to our clients' concerns and needs; one that truly values employees; and a person that is upright and ethical. A positive outlook is also extremely important to us.
We offer profit sharing, 401K contributions, up to $330/month towards health insurance, and a generous CE package. We strongly support any CVPM candidate or those in pursuit of CVPM credentials.
Please submit an original cover letter that expresses your interest in growing or expanding upon your leadership abilities, along with a resume, and three professional references using the link provided. We will not be able to review any applications that do not include all three of these criteria.
Thank you in advance for your commitment to animal health and our veterinary profession. We look forward to meeting you!
