We are looking for a self-motivated and flexible Veterinary Outreach Trainer who is versatile in a dynamic start-up environment. Our Veterinary Outreach Trainer will be responsible for the education and training of JustFoodForDogs employees, veterinary partners and their staff, retail partners’ staff (Petco, Pet Food Express), and at veterinary schools or other events as needed. The goal is to advocate for fresh whole food as the healthiest option for pets through education and help position our brand as veterinarians’ “first and best” recommendation. The candidate must enjoy traveling and teaching because this is primarily a traveling and training position!
JustFoodForDogs is growing nationally through key partnerships with national retailers. This means our partners’ staff must be educated on our products and trained on our concept. The Veterinary Outreach Trainer will work with the operations team to plan new market launches. They will work with the education support team and the veterinary outreach support team to deliver training and education as needed, in coordination with grand openings and the opening of new locations. Given plans for national growth, the Veterinary Outreach Trainer must enjoy traveling. They will also be responsible for helping support veterinary outreach, including: events, follow up, organizing lunch and learns, and doctor dinners. Education support staff and veterinary outreach support staff will be provided.
Educate new teams on the Pet Food Industry and JFFD products, establishing our brand as their “first and best” recommendation.
Maintain a very high level of product and company knowledge so as to become the “go to” person for all training.
Travel nationally to conduct trainings.
Educate veterinary staff through in-clinic lunch seminars or doctor dinners on the superior value proposition of JFFD diets and services.
Help propel the JFFD mission of pets' living longer, happier lives by driving endorsement of our products in veterinary clinics.
Help rollout new product launches and education to staff and partners as needed.
Help support regional and veterinarian specific in-market events/conferences
Help coordinate all aspects of a training event, seeking appropriate resources and materials, and follow up as needed afterwards.
Establish, promote, and deliver excellent B2B service.
Attend periodic meetings (remote/conference) and organize any other relevant meetings.
Maintain communication with the appropriate parties regarding any issues as they arise (inventory/supply concerns, tech problems, accounts receivable, etc.)
Foster a favorable working environment, and help develop and maintain long-term employee relationships and loyalty.
Must be willing to travel several times per month
20% of time standing, 20% sitting, 60% traveling.
Direct contact with employees, partners’ staff, veterinarians, vet staff, customers, dogs, and employees.
Dynamic, changing environment – JFFD is a young company and a place of change and change must be embraced professionally.
Veterinary or animal industry related experience preferred.
