We seek to hire a full-time Clinic Manager to join us in our mission and vision to provide high quality care in a progressive animal welfare environment. Each year KHS takes in over 7,000 homeless animals including roughly 2,000 animals from at-risk partner shelters across the region. Our veterinary team also performs over 2,000 spay/neuter surgeries for our low income community each year. KHS’s Clinic Manager will work in close partnership with the Director of Shelter Medicine, veterinarians, staff and volunteers to provide high quality shelter medicine, surgery, treatment and care for KHS shelter animals. Our life-saving programs have seen positive growth over the past three years, and we are excited for the opportunity to recruit a highly motivated Clinic Manager to work alongside us in providing excellent medical and surgical care for the animals and community we serve.
The Clinic Manager will primarily perform administration, coordination and oversight for the department alongside the Director of Shelter Medicine. Responsibilities include managing the Veterinary Services department to meet objectives for budget, strategic plan and quality medical care; supervising the veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants and department volunteers; collaborating in a multi-department team environment and working closely with all medical staff to maximize the efficiency of the population flow within the shelter and providing veterinary services to external and internal customers; performing hands-on veterinary assistant duties as needed in order to meet department goals; and providing exceptional leadership and supporting the mission, goals and philosophy of Kitsap Humane Society (KHS).
Additional Salary Information: This is a salaried, full-time position. Vacation leave is available after completion of introductory period. Sick leave also available. Health and dental insurance benefits available the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
