Responsible for assisting development of the companion animal market in the area of genomic based services and products targeted to the companion animal agricultural industry. Included in these duties is the responsibility for budgeted revenue and sales growth product of specific market segments and geographies. Extensive involvement with the companion animal industry (veterinary and consumer trade associations, multi-national pet food and animal health companies, breed associations, etc.) will be required to determine market needs in order to grow market share. Position will also continue the development of novel/proprietary genetic based tests for non-core species within the portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience: Graduate degree (M.S, Ph.D, DVM.) in life sciences discipline such as Agriculture, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics etc. is strongly preferred. Business-to-Business sales experience in a company that operated within a product management structure and marketing principles, product launch activities and sales support. Business/marketing management experience desired. Experience/exposure to animal breeding/genetics, diagnostic testing, or genomic analysis.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Project Management software, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Word Processing software; CRM applications, as well as network and browser applications.
Drivers License: Must maintain a valid license to drive at all times.
