Full Time Associate Veterinarian - wanted to join our team! Hamilton-Wenham Veterinary Hospital is a small animal, general medicine practice located on the North Shore. The practice has been privately owned and operated by Dr. Scott Pett since 2004. Our comfortable, welcoming hospital has a small town vibe and runs very efficiently. This is both a professionally and financially rewarding position for the right candidate.
About Us - Practice overview:
Two full time veterinarians, relief veterinarians as needed.
Friendly, well trained support staff, including CVT’s.
Office hours: Monday through Fridays 8am-5pm, Saturdays 8am-2pm.
Surgery/Dental procedures currently scheduled three days per week.
Emergency cases seen during regular office hours, limited/rare overnight cases, no boarding. Currently no after hours on call responsibilities. After hours emergencies referred to local 24 hour facilities.
Up to date medical equipment - DR radiography, iM3 dental unit, Sopix dental software, sevoflurane, in house blood machines.
Cloud based software, electronic medical records, and wireless tablets on wifi mesh network.
Committed to offering excellent client care and communication, as well as providing sufficient doctor/client time through efficient appointment scheduling.
Practice low stress & fear free handling and tailored individualized care plans for each patient.

About You - Essential Position Responsibilities & Requirements:
Practice veterinary medicine - examine, diagnose and perform surgery in accordance with MA Veterinary Practice Act.
Graduate of an accredited DVM/VMD program
Current MA veterinary license (unrestricted, unencumbered)
Current MA DEA License
Current Federal DEA License
Current MA USDA license (preferred, or able to obtain)
Experience with in house laboratory tests and digital radiography preferred
Advanced experience using intraoral digital radiography and dental extractions preferred
Experience with electronic medical records or eVetPractice software preferred
Strong communication skills in English; including listening, speaking, writing
Ability to maintain a positive, solutions focused attitude
Ability to use good judgement and keep client information confidential
Ability to delegate non veterinary tasks to appropriate staff members
Deliver consistent excellent customer service to internal/external customers, colleagues and management
