We need a team leader. We are very busy and have great staff members, but none of them have leadership personalities. We are so busy that I do not have time to properly manage staff.
I do not want just a practice manager. I want an individual who can work with the staff, train the staff and pitch in when medical procedures, etc require an extra or more experienced hand.
We are high volume, mainly dogs and cats, but anything without feathers or scales might end up in the exam room or on the surgery table. Currently one doctor, but adding more. Practice is young, started in 2012.
We have digital x-ray, ultrasound, telemedicine, full in house blood analyzer suite. We use Vetter cloud based software and are 100% computerized for record keeping.
Currently have a staff of 5 and just don't have the time to manage them effectively.
Must be able to be on time, ready to work every day. Repeated tardiness or absences are not tolerated.
Must be able to manage other people and work with them without fostering resentment. I need a leader...a chief. I have 5 excellent indians, but no chief. I need someone who is easy to get along with but not afraid to come down on those not performing their job well.
Must be a registered veterinary technician. Must be competent at all the basic technician skills-phlebotomy, taking x-rays, calculating medication doses, setting IV catheters, maintaining IV fluids, inventory(including controlled drug) management, vaccinations, data entry, client communication.
Additional Salary Information: Top pay for technician currently over $50,000/yr . This salary easily attainable if the individual has skills and drive.
