The Tufts Veterinary Field Service (TVFS) invites applications for a clinical track Assistant or Associate Professor in equine ambulatory medicine and surgery. Tufts Veterinary Field Service in Woodstock, CT is a 10 veterinarian practice that is a clinical and teaching unit of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton, MA. We are one of the largest academic veterinary field services in the country. We have a highly motivated client base with a wide variety of disciplines and breeds.

The successful candidate will hold a DVM or equivalent degree, and be an experienced equine practitioner proficient in lameness and general practice skills. In addition to clinical expertise and excellent client communication skills, the successful candidate will also demonstrate enthusiasm for clinical, laboratory and didactic veterinary student education. This is primarily a clinical service position. Participation in available scholarship opportunities such as clinical, collaborative and independent research is strongly encouraged. The service/academic percentage is 75%/25%. Rotational participation in the emergency call schedule for all species and the ability to become licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island and achieve federal accreditation is required.
Preferred: Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty (ABVP, ACVIM, ACVS, ACVMSR).
