Veterinary Specialty Services is the largest privately-owned multi-specialty and 24 hour emergency hospital in the state with 2 locations in the metro region. Our doctors include 22 specialists in cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, oncology, radiology and surgery. Our dedicated team is rounded out by 14 emergency doctors and an amazing client relations and technical support staff team.
We are in our 25th year of providing high level care to St. Louis Metro area veterinarians and their patients/clients. Our neurology service, the only one in the metropolitan area, was established in 2012 and averages six procedures a day (radiologic and/or surgical). VSS has all the advanced equipment a neurologist needs for success, including: a 1.5T MRI, CT, electro-diagnostics, Storz VITOM system, ultrasonic aspirator and a Ho:YAG laser. We always work with our specialists to ensure they have the most up-to-date equipment for their needs. For those interested in teaching, we have had prior joint residency programs with the University of Missouri – Columbia.
