We are seeking an associate veterinarian to complement our staff. A motivated team player who can listen to the client and patient. The candidate should have a focus on patient care and strive to provide the highest quality medicine possible. Performing diagnostics while putting together a treatment plan that is acceptable to both the client and patient. Able to perform routine surgeries such as spays and neuters. Additional surgical skills would be appreciated, but not mandatory. Acupuncture or chiropractic would be welcome and would complement our therapy laser and multimodal approach to aiding our older patients, but not mandatory. No after hour emergency calls. Flexible schedule available.
Additional Salary Information: Employee Health Insurance. IRA. No after hours emergency calls. Continuing Education. Dues, PLIT and Licenses. Work 3-5 days per week - we believe that time off is important.
About Lindenhurst Animal Hospital
We are a small animal general practice in northern Illinois between Chicago and Milwaukee. We started in 1975 and have been an AAH A accredited practice since 1990. The community is growing while there is still some farm land it is more suburban. Most of our patients are dogs and cats with a few exotics. We believe in preventive medicine gearing vaccines to the individuals needs and striving to perform annual blood work and urinalysis on our patients. In house laboratory used for most patients to have results quickly. Consulting laboratory services available for additional support. Dental radiographs are performed for all dentals. Separate surgical suite and radiology room. We have a small boarding facility and provide boarding only for our patients. Paperless medical records striving to become completely paperless. We offer our clients access to an online pharmacy. Our staff provides support for our veterinarians by running the laboratory, caring for patients under the direction of the veterinarian, typing for the veterinarian in rooms to allow the veterinarian to focus on the conversation with the client and interactions with the pet.
