Carolina Veterinary Specialists operates four full-service, 24-hour-a-day emergency & specialty referral facilities in the Charlotte area. We have an opening for an emergency vet with at least one year of practice experience.
Across all practices, CVS referral services include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Behavior, and Avian/Exotics.
Our Emergency Service is proud of our committed team of strong technicians, assistants, and dedicated ICU staff who monitor and care for hospitalized patients 24hrs a day. There is a strong sense of case sharing and communication among the specialty services and ER which is facilitated by hospital wide rounds each morning, and evening rounds with each service and the overnight ER doctor.
Quality of life outside of the practice is something we strongly support. For this reason, our ER vets work a combination of daytime and overnight shifts, never more than 4 shifts in a row, with big blocks of time off. This allows ample time to enjoy the North Carolina mountains, beaches, lakes and multiple sporting events – all within an easy drive. The Piedmont area of North Carolina is home to professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey. We have unique attractions including Charlotte Motor Speedway and the US National Whitewater Center. Air and train travel are both easily accessible.
In return for your hard work we offer a range of great benefits including competitive salary, benefits, and CE allowance, productivity bonus, membership dues, relocation assistance/signing bonus and PTO. We take the health and well-being of our employees seriously, offering flexible working conditions and encouraging a well-rounded work/life balance.
