The Animal Emergency and Referral Center (AERC) in Flowood, Mississippi, seeks to hire a general small animal surgeon. An affiliate of the Mississippi State University (MSU) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), the AERC is made up of a team of professionals who provide high-quality referral and emergency veterinary services to the greater Jackson area and surrounding communities. The state-of-the-art facility is located in the Flowood community, with 5200 square-feet of working space. The Center’s existing specialties include surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and dentistry. A fully-staffed emergency service is in place for coverage after hours. Practitioners at AERC hold adjunct faculty positions at MSU CVM and are an integral part of the teaching team. MSU CVM 4th-year professional veterinary medicine and veterinary technology students rotate through the facility, allowing for structured teaching in a high-paced, dynamic private referral practice. Flowood is located just outside of Jackson, providing close proximity to the city from the security of warm, charming neighborhoods.
