Part time Veterinarian position with potential to progress to full time is currently available.  Position will be 2 days per week plus 2 Saturdays per month for now.  As a small town, rural veterinary clinic, our clients are much more than just clients, they are our neighbors.  As such, applicant must be friendly and have the ability to develop good rapport with the clients.  Prefer candidates with large animal interest/experience as well as proficiency in small animal medicine and surgery.

Requirements for this position include:  small animal medicine/surgery proficiency; Large animal medicine and minor surgery proficiency/interest; Friendly, courteous, able to communicate effectively with clients and staff;  Active Tennessee Veterinary License is essential, USDA Accreditation is a plus.

Hickman Veterinary Hospital, Inc. is a busy, well established, rural, mixed animal practice in Centerville, Tennessee. The clinic has state of the art in-house laboratory (Idexx: ProCyte, Catalyst One, SediVue, Snap Pro readers, VetLab UA), digital radiography, K-Laser therapeutic laser, Ultrasound, doppler blood pressure monitor. We also have two ambulatory trucks that are fully stocked with large animal equipment. Our staff is second to none and we enjoy a very stable employee retention rate. The majority of the staff has been here 10 + years! Caseload is primarily small animal with approximately 22 % large animal.
