Are you looking for “not just another veterinary job”? A place that practices what they preach? Look no further!
-We hire for personality AND ability, weeding out the toxic team members who can drag all of us down!
-We have many policies and procedures in place that are designed to mobilize our support staff and make your day run as smooth as possible.
-We are constantly planning team-building activities and other events to help us to perform as a team and give us mental health breaks from the demanding nature of veterinary medicine. We are excited when the staff brings new ideas to the management team.
-We attend conferences and continuously explore new CE options, trying to provide the best care possible for our clients and patients. Recently, most of our doctors were “Oncura ultrasound trained” and have been trained to obtain all of the ultrasound images for a board-certified radiologist to interpret.
-We are committed to quality of life. Many of our doctors enjoy getting out at 2:00 or earlier on a surgery day and usually work real 8 hour shifts with a lunch built into the day. Many practices are moving towards being open until 5:00 on Saturday and even opening on Sunday. We are committed to keeping our current Saturday office hours at 8:00-2:00 so that we can all go home and be with our families.
-Our “Pro-Sal” compensation system fosters an environment that rewards the hard-working productive doctors but prevents competition for certain cases. We truly see patients as a team.
-We work alongside a local animal shelter (The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley) providing care for their shelter pets and guidance to them. We also participate in their fundraisers. We have carefully selected two responsible rescue group that we work with as well. We are a shelter-friendly hospital who looks to support our local animal shelter, never bashing them.
-The owner of Redstone was internship trained on the east coast and practiced at a busy New York City practice for years. She also has extensive ER experience as well as holding a position as a head shelter veterinarian. She loves to mentor new veterinarians, but also gives the doctors the space they need in order to practice their own medicine.
-We are a “Cat Friendly Practice” recognized by AAFP with a dedicated exam room for our feline patients.
-We choose not to perform declaws at our practice.
-We were the first practice certified as “Fear-Free” in Colorado. We use peanut butter, cheese whiz and whatever it takes to win over our patients! This does not mean that we don’t take safety seriously. We don’t hesitate to use a muzzle when necessary.
-We are committed to remaining as a small business and not selling to a corporation. However, we strive to provide the benefits that corporations are able to provide.
Our Core Values
We Don’t talk “Smack” - We continuously try to build each other up, trying to avoid “smack talk” about other team members and also our clients.
Keep your head up! - We try our best to maintain a positive attitude, even when the private practice environment becomes chaotic.
Compassion! - We are compassionate with each other, with our owners, and especially the animals we are here to serve. We never, ever, ever lose our temper with our patients.
-We don’t panic!- We like to lightly remind each other of this in emergency situations! We do our best to remain calm and keep each other calm as well as our clients.
-Owners come first - We are here because of the clients who have entrusted us to care for their pets. You will see us bend over backwards for our clients. This does not mean that we take abuse from them.
Our associate who is currently leaving to pursue a different avenue in veterinary medicine had this to say about us:
"I truly believe that Redstone Animal Hospital was the best possible place that I could have landed after veterinary school. The connections that I made here and the level of mentorship that I received during my 4 years at Redstone have shaped me into who I am as both a person and a veterinarian in the most positive way. The team of doctors works together in a supportive and collaborative way and the support staff are kind, helpful, and enthusiastic. At Redstone, you will feel valued and appreciated and I could not recommend it highly enough to any potential future associate veterinarian."
