Byland Animal Hospital is a growing 5 doctor, full-service mixed animal practice located in Loudonville, Ohio, very near Mohican State Park! We are currently looking for 2 associate veterinarians. One doctor is relocating to her home in another state, and one doctor is making a career path change. Byland Animal Hospital's doctors, registered veterinary technicians, assistants and office staff are energetic, hardworking, and team oriented. We work together to provide excellent medicine to our patients while demonstrating superior care and compassion to our clients.
We are a predominately bovine and small animal practice (approximately 50% companion animal, 40% bovine, 5% equine and 5% small ruminant, swine and camelids.) Our in house diagnostic abilities include digital radiography, Abaxis chemistry, CBC and clotting panel/ fibrinogen machine in house, incubator for cultures, and microscopy. Monitoring equipment and patient warming devices for anesthetized patients are utilized. Four mobile ultrasound units are used for both farm animal herd health and small animal diagnostics. Our dental unit is equipped for both prophylactic cleaning and extractions. Our large animal haul in facility is where many of our cattle surgeries are done. Each doctor is provided a truck with fully stocked Bowie unit. Additional equine care services and specialty small animal surgery are areas where we would like to expand.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. New doctors are fortunate to join Byland Animal Hospital as they receive excellent mentorship to ensure success. License fees, liability insurance, OVMA, AVMA, and one other national assoc. dues are paid. Paid vacation is provided, and each associate has a scheduled time off during the week. Matching IRA contribution is available. Emergency duty is shared equally among the 4 associates.
