Requirements of the Full Time Hospital Administrator
In this role, you will be expected to be able to fill many key roles that will allow the practice to run smoothly without interruption. Above all, we need a team player who excels at leadership and knows how to identify issues and correct them with expert problem-solving abilities.
A list of other responsibilities in this role include:
Oversee the veterinary practice administration
Prepare budgets and operational plans
Develop protocols and monitor data automation
Manage funds and resources
Prepare and administer marketing plans
Review, evaluate and analyze past and current performance of the practice
Administer the management of all employees
In order to be successful in the Hospital Administrator role, you will need to possess:
Expert leadership and delegation skills
The ability to coach and mentor team members
A great work ethic, whether in a team setting or working individually
Strong people skills which focus around quality of care and client satisfaction
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to client satisfaction
Strong organizational skills that inspire those around you
Job requirements include:
Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) preferred
Demonstrated competence in the theory and practice of accounting and financial controls
5 years of experience as a Hospital Administrator, preferably in an animal hospital setting
Expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis
AVImark software experience is preferred, but not required
