At PET, we encourage our staff to progress clinically and professionally through continual education and training while working with our exceptional veterinarians. Alaska affords a unique array of medical cases as well. Imagine having the opportunity to triage sled dogs training for the Iditarod, provide emergency nursing care for patients who have had an encounter with a moose, or placing a catheter and administering medications to a pancreatitis patient who ingested a bit too much fresh-caught King Salmon.
Qualifications: Certified Veterinary Technician in Alaska (or eligible) with a minimum one-year experience (emergency experience preferred, but not required). The ability to function in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes medical, dental, Health care spending or reimbursement accounts, employee discounts, and PTO. Potential for relocation allowance.
