The San Francisco SPCA imagines a community where all pet guardians in San Francisco will have access to quality care for their pets, regardless of income. To work toward this vision, we are looking for a California-licensed veterinarian to join our staff as a Community Medicine Associate Veterinarian. The Community Medicine Associate Veterinarian will provide High Quality High Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN) services at our Mission Campus Spay/Neuter clinic, and will work closely with the Director of Community Medicine to support all aspects of our community outreach programs. This position will include shifts in our HQHSVN Spay/Neuter clinic, as well our offsite free Mobile Vaccine Clinics and onsite low-cost Walk-In Wellness Clinic. The Community Medicine Associate Veterinarian has the opportunity to make impactful and lasting change in the lives, welfare, and well-being of thousands of animals and people each year.
Demonstrated aptitude in clinical medicine and surgery
Demonstrated aptitude in a high-volume spay/neuter clinic
An affinity for our mission and an interest in providing care to our underserved communities
Demonstrated success in managing a diverse team of professionals, skilled in managing varied relationships and successful at facilitating collaboration and cooperation
A willingness to support a learning environment, where doctors and medical support staff have regular opportunities to learn and develop their skills
A license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of California
