Schedule and Wages:
We typically follow a 4/10 schedule: 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday) from 7am to 5pm. From time-to-time, another day or time may be required for special events.
Days are paid at a set rate dependent on experience with potential for bonus.
No “on call” responsibilities.
Employment with the non-profit Tails of Hope, Inc. qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program through the U.S Department of Education.

The ideal candidate must be a currently licensed veterinarian in the state of Pennsylvania. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred. DVM is expected to attend quarterly board meetings and help create and support fundraising initiatives, special programming and other events.
The DVM sought will share our organization’s passion to make a difference in our community to eliminate neglect, abuse and suffering by impacting pet over-population through spay/neuter programs and supporting rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and education resulting in improved overall quality of life.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, positive team collaboration, and dedication and desire to grow and improve our organization. Our team includes paid RVTs, office staff, volunteer staff, and Board of Directors.
Additional Salary Information: Bonus Program may be considered.
