Healthy Paws Veterinary Center in Little Elm, TX is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our dedicated staff. We are open to both new graduates, as well as experienced veterinarians. Our practice is a very professional tight-knit group of team members who work hard and keep our patients' well-being a top priority.
We are a busy, high-quality small animal general practice that prides itself on outstanding client service and education, as well as exceptional patient care. HPVC has reasonable office hours to allow for a healthy work and home balance. We provide complete medical, diagnostic, and surgical services. This includes routine check-ups and vaccinations, as well as complex medical or surgical cases. Our facility is well equipped with an in-house pharmacy, digital radiology and dental radiology, in-house diagnostic lab and outside reference lab, updated surgical suite, and easy access to emergency/specialist facilities. Additionally we offer boarding and grooming services, and diverse retail market items to make HPVC a one stop shop for all animal needs.
For new graduates, we are very open to training and mentoring. Our training program is focused on first-hand experience in a supportive environment. For applicants with experience, ideal candidates must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and effective communication skills. Duties expected include diagnostics, preventative medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Essential Duties and Functions:
Veterinary Medical Care
Coordinate and implement medical and general care protocols for the health and well-being of patients
Contribute to maintenance of current, sound veterinary medical practices, protocols and standards
Assess animal health using current diagnostic methods
Oversee surgical cases and develop treatment plans for patients with varying degrees of medical complexity
Enhance professional knowledge and skills with a commitment to embracing opportunities for educational advancement through continuing education
Partner with clients to ensure the best treatment plan for each patient and to bond the client to our practice
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university
State Veterinary Board License in good standing to practice in the State of Texas
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and creating an exemplary client experience
Professional appearance with advanced interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude
Additional Salary Information: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience level and includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus. The compensation package includes base salary plus a production bonus, health benefits, life insurance, paid vacation in addition to sick leave, reimbursement for licensing fees, association dues, and CE allowance. Discounts on services, medications, and food is also included.
