| Eastex Veterinary Clinic is currently seeking a full-time Veterinarian and offering Sign-on Bonus and Relocation support. We are nestled in the Old Humble District for the last 50 years, paired with long summers and short winters, Humble is a perfect place to settle in. We have been AAHA Accredited for 43 years going strong. We are a Full-Service Clinic that provides surgery, dentistry, wellness, Idexx in-house diagnostic testing capabilities, digital radiology, and digital dental radiography, ultrasound, up-to-date monitoring equipment, licensed and qualified technicians. We do offer grooming and boarding services. Our hours of operation are M-F 7-6 pm, and Saturdays 8:00-12:00 pm. Closed Sundays. Objective & Responsibilities: - Devote experience, knowledge, skills, and energy to the treatment of sick and injured animals
- Serve as a primary source of information on animal care for owners and care providers in our community
- Coordinate and implement treatment plans and provide detailed explanations for the client education and medical records
- Deliver medical and surgical treatments with formulary approved pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment
- Manage emergency medical situations that could arise in general practice—assess, stabilize, and determine if a referral is appropriate or patient can be managed in-house
- Support your clinic’s other doctors in their diagnoses and surgical procedures
- Perform regular and preventive health examinations
- Assess animals to determine the nature of disease or injury
- Train interns and new employees to operate effectively in the clinical environment
- Continue to learn and understand the latest veterinary practices
- Examines, diagnoses, Treats animals surgically or medically
- Operate medical equipment
- Client communication about care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
