Pets First Veterinary Center is a well-established, AAHA-accredited practice looking to add an amazing new associate! Our four-doctor hospital boasts a committed veterinary team who provides exceptional client service and care. We display this unrivaled commitment through attending continuing education, embracing technological advances in veterinary medicine and service, and most importantly, administering compassionate care to all pets entrusted to us.
Our clinic is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, laser therapy, and a laser surgical unit. The four-exam room facility is spacious and well-maintained while offering preventive and urgent care appointments, as well as surgical and dentistry services to our many long-term clients. We truly value our team approach and encourage collaboration on cases. We are searching for candidates that will help us further elevate our level of medicine.
Veterinary medicine is challenging, and the hours can be grueling, but we are excited to offer a four-day work week with alternating Saturdays. Our hospital is located in Castle Hills, nestled in north central San Antonio, just off the freeway for an easy commute from any area of the city. Pets First is also minutes away from Hardberger Park (with walking trails for a lunchtime break), the San Antonio International Airport, and North Star Mall.
In addition to production-based compensation (ProSal), we are also proud to offer:
$10,000 Signing Bonus
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Short- and long-term disability
Generous paid time off for personal use and to attend continuing education
401(k) with employer match
Sponsored AVMA PLIT
Annual continuing education allowance
Access to employment assistance program
Reimbursement of licensure fees and professional membership dues

About Pets First Veterinary Center
Blue River PetCare's mission is to provide a long-term home for local practices that selling owners have worked so hard to build. We are dedicated to retaining the culture of each of our hospitals in addition to the local practice of medicine. We do this by ensuring each hospital has complete medical autonomy with their choice of protocols, therapies, inventory items, vendors and even management software. We also focus on our employees’ health and well-being as much as we do the pets we treat. We would love to hear from you!
