Based in Middletown, Connecticut, Pieper Veterinary has satellite locations in East Haddam, Essex, Madison, Marlborough and Middletown. Pieper Veterinary is excited to offer an opportunity to the right candidate for at our Madison Urgent Care facility to focus on non-critical cases. This position is ideal for a licensed DVM who is looking for a change of pace from the routine of vaccinations and routine visits. This role will allow clinicians to challenge themselves further and experience a wide variety of cases.
This position will include care and services of non-critical care cases, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, bite wounds, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. The facility is open from 2 PM – 10 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 8 PM Saturdays and Sundays. No overnights!

Our Urgent Care branch in Madison exists to provide medical care and information for small animals with urgent or emergent conditions. Urgent Care emergency clinicians are responsible for seeing small and zoological companion animal emergency cases presenting through our Urgent Care Service.
We are very proud to offer this much needed service in the community of Madison. As an extension of the Pieper Veterinary practice, there is tremendous support available.
Cases will be handled as a bridge between the regular veterinarian and the 24 hour emergency clinic, with all patients being referred back to their regular veterinarian. Minor problems will be handled at Urgent Care and serious cases requiring 24 hour care or major emergency surgery may be referred to Pieper Memorial in Middletown which is open 24/7. Veterinarians will be expected to do minor surgeries if needed.?
Madison, CT is located just a short distance from New Haven along the shores of the Long Island Sound. The small town is a true gem, offering plenty to do in addition to its clean beaches. Most attractions in town can be reached by walking or by bicycle as the Madison is a culture-filled, compact hamlet.

Demonstration of a specific interest in inpatient care
Three years’ experience required, and internship trained (Board-certification not required)
