BE YOUR OWN BOSS as the sole Veterinarian for the Central PA Humane Society (CPHS), which is located in a picturesque, rural community in Altoona, PA. The surgery center is adjacent to the animal shelter and you'll have the help of two assistants. This full time, Monday-Friday, position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, that includes vacation, sick time, and health benefits for full time employees. If you would prefer to work part time or on a contract basis, we can discuss that, too. Join a staff of highly dedicated people who will do whatever it takes to save all who come their way.
CPHS is an open door shelter that takes in and cares for 1500+/- dogs, cats, rabbits and small animals each year. There is never an expiration date on any of our adoptable pets who remain in our care as long as they are physically and mentally healthy.
As a shelter, we exist to make positive changes in our community. Our goal is not only to carefully find loving homes for our homeless pets, but to make an impact through our spay & neuter programs. Read more about our mission at www.centralpahumane.org
