Want to live in the number #1 City in the United States as reported by, "US News and World Report?" Huntsville, Alabama was found to be safe, and affordable with a great quality of life.
Bored with pitching prepaid health plans and cookbook Corporate Veterinary Medicine. Realize that you didn't spend 8 years of intensive training to express anal glands and give vaccinations. Looking to challenge your diagnostic abilities and extend your surgical skills while making a great salary. Combine that with an educated clientele that wants to do more to extend the life and welfare of that pet and you have the perfect combination of factors to excel.
The Animal Care Clinic of Huntsville, Alabama was recently voted the Best Veterinary Clinic in the area after a rigorous 50-point inspection. The Hospital needs a 5th Veterinarian who can appreciate cutting edge medicine and surgery. We would be willing to hire a new graduate that wants to be mentored by some well-seasoned practitioners and great technicians. We need a veterinarian that is willing to make lasting client connections. Alternatively our Veterinarians would not mind learning some new skills and procedures from our newer graduates. Total staff number is currently at 40.
The clinic is over 10,000 square feet and is stocked with some of the finest equipment. We have digital radiography (automatic settings with no need to measure), an Olympic endoscope, Heska and IDEXX chemistry, QBC, an ultrasound with Doppler, complete plating and pinning surgical equipment; not to mention cryosurgery and a Tono pen.
Love surgery, we have veterinarians every day that conduct ophthalmic, reconstructive, orthopedic, oncological or reproductive surgery. We also schedule the more routine dental surgery, and ovarian hysterectomy and neuter. Want to sharpen your surgical skills? We have the opportunity to accept more rescue organization surgeries. Alternatively if you hate surgery, we can put your internal medicine skills to the test and have another veterinarian do that exploratory or orthopedic surgery with you or for you.
Although primarily a Small Animal Hospital we have treated the occasional reptile, goat, and bird. Exotics and large animals could definitely expand the practice if someone had a special interest in these species.
Are you the type of individual that likes to stay busy? Are you the most productive person at the clinic? Then you should be paid more! The clinic offers a great base salary with a quarterly production bonus. Starting salary is dependent on experience but can easily be raised for the productive veterinarian. The Platinum plan Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medical and Dental Insurance are available. These are the best health plans that Blue Cross offers. The clinic pays 100% of the insurance premium for an individual plan. Vacation, and paid continuing education, round out some of our many benefits. New graduates earn a base salary of well over six-figures and with a quarterly bonus program were a salary can reach over $200,000 for a practitioner.
Looking for a shorter work week? Our veterinarians have a three-day weekend every third week and typically work less than 40 hours weekly. When fully staffed we commonly have a four-day work week. Part-time or full-time position available.
