Summerfields Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA-accredited hospital that has served the North Fort Worth community for more than 20 years. We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our multi-doctor team as we continue to grow.

Your Schedule, Your Choice
We recognize that veterinarians are looking for flexibility, and we believe one schedule does not fit everyone.

Choose either a 3-day or 4-day work week.

• Consistent schedule with predictable days off
• Weekend schedule designed for work-life balance (every other Saturday and approximately one Sunday per month, with those weekend shifts replacing weekday shifts—not adding to them)
• Dedicated weekly surgical block for every doctor
• Strong technician utilization and support

On Any Given Day, Our Doctors May:

• Perform a laparoscopic procedure
• Review CT images
• Scope a foreign body with endoscopy
• Work up a complex internal medicine case
• Manage a breeding case
• Perform advanced dentistry
• See a rabbit with GI stasis
• Assist with an orthopedic procedure
• Evaluate an exotic pet

Exotics & Reproduction
Most general practices see dogs and cats.

But we also maintain active services in two areas that are increasingly difficult to find in private practice.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited veterinary school

Eligible for or currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Interest in continuing education and professional development

Surgical experience is welcomed but not required

Special interests in surgery, internal medicine, imaging, dentistry, endoscopy, laparoscopy, or other advanced procedures are encouraged

New graduates seeking mentorship are welcome to apply
