Emergency/Critical Care Residency (ACVECC)
ACVECC residency (3 year program) or fellowship (2 year program for ACVIM or ACVS diplomates) opening for July 2022. The group of practices sees approximately 5,000 emergencies per year with the majority being evaluated and treated through the main hospital near Sacramento, CA. The emergency service is run day and night by 3 ACVECC diplomates and therefore the mentorship in the program is exceptional. There is a wide variety of cases including surgical emergencies, infectious diseases, toxicities, neonates, and technical rescues. The residency program has been in place for over 10 years and has a structured program including physiology reviews, journal clubs, and external rotations with specialists.
