Our single-doctor clinic is fully equipped for gold-standard medicine—digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, rigid endoscopy, PRP/stem-cell therapy, lasers, and a complete in-house IDEXX lab—yet we keep the feel of a close-knit neighborhood hospital. A highly trained support team (RVTs, assistants, and dedicated client-care staff) allows veterinarians to focus on medicine, not micromanagement.

Veterinarians design their own appointment blocks (20–30 minutes), choose 16–40 work hours per week, and collaborate—not compete—for optimal patient outcomes. Company History
Dr. Karen Hamilton opened Annapolis Veterinary & Wellness in 2016 with a simple mission: “Treat every patient as if they were our own.” Guided by that principle, the practice steadily reinvested in advanced diagnostics, surgical capabilities, and staff development, all while safeguarding the close-knit feel that first drew clients through the door. When the COVID-19 pandemic upended curbside protocols in 2020, Dr. Hamilton doubled down on transparency by creating “PetMe,” a weekly community-access TV and livestream series that invited viewers behind the scenes of exams, surgeries, and daily clinic life. The show—aired through early 2021 and still archived online—offered anxious pet parents rare insight and reassurance during an uncertain time and underscored the trust that anchors our client relationships.
Today Annapolis Veterinary & Wellness operates from a modern, purpose-built facility, serving more than 10,000 active patients while maintaining truly individualized care. We remain fiercely independent, having declined multiple corporate acquisition offers to preserve our patient-first, people-focused ethos.
