Company Profile
Eagle's Nest Animal Hospital
Company Overview
At Eagles Nest Animal Hospital, we treat pets like family and want them to have long, healthy lives. Our doctors have a gentle approach and a sound foundation in veterinary medicine. We understand the bond our clients share with their pets, and we treat them as our own. Since opening our doors in 2007, we have treated over 22,000 patients and moved into our new 8,500 sq ft facility in 2022. We continue to grow each year as a small animal general practice offering comprehensive services from wellness care to internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, theriogenology, and some oncology for predominantly cats and dogs (and small mammals). With just under 50 employees, we're large enough to provide excellent support and resources while maintaining the close-knit, community atmosphere that makes our practice special. As a privately-owned, woman-founded practice located in King George, Virginia, we have the freedom to prioritize what truly matters: exceptional patient care and creating a supportive work environment where our team can thrive alongside meaningful relationships with our clients and their beloved pets.
Company History
Eagles Nest Animal Hospital has been serving the King George community since 2007, when Dr. Samantha Judge opened the practice with hopes and aspirations to positively change the lives of pets and, in turn, their owners.
Our growth reflects our commitment to excellence and community service. In 2013, we welcomed Dr. Megan MacIntyre to our team after she graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Veterinary Medicine. As our practice continued to flourish, we began planning for the future in 2018 by laying the groundwork for a new facility with separate canine and feline wings.
In 2020, we purchased land for our new facility and commenced construction, setting the stage for the development of our expanded hospital. The following year, 2021, brought another exciting addition to our team when Dr. Lexie Young joined us after graduating from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
A major milestone came in March 2022, when we proudly moved into our new 8,500 square foot hospital, located right across the road from our original facility. This modern, spacious building allows us to better serve our patients and community with enhanced facilities and expanded services.
Most recently, in 2024, Dr. Megan Lacy joined Eagles Nest after graduating from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, bringing our dedicated team of veterinarians to four doctors.
From our humble beginnings to our current modern facility, Eagles Nest Animal Hospital continues to grow while maintaining our founding mission of providing exceptional veterinary care with compassion and dedication to the pets and families we serve.
