Premier Paws Veterinary Service exists to provide compassionate, accessible, high-quality veterinary care to every pet and family in the Chicagoland community—building on our roots to deliver a full spectrum of medicine across Lockport, Joliet, and Burbank—while fostering a supportive, collaborative, low drama team culture that values education, connection, and the wellbeing of animals and people.

About Us
Premier Equine Veterinary Service was founded in 2009 by Dr. Alison Powers. From those beginnings, our small adjunct companion practice—Premier Paws Veterinary Service—has blossomed into three full-service Chicagoland locations in Lockport, Joliet, and Burbank. We believe in access to care for ALL pets and offer a spectrum of services designed to enhance the health, wellbeing, and lives of animals and their families.

Benefits

Competitive salary: Full-time team works four days/week. Salary range $110,000–$160,000/year (DOE).
Bonus eligibility: Performance-based rewards for exceptional work.
Health insurance: Comprehensive coverage with 80% employer-paid premium.
Sign-on & retention bonus: $10,000 for full-time staff.
401(k) matching: Employer match up to 4%.
Paid time off: 80 hours PTO for full-time staff; up to 40 hours may roll over annually. (Part-time PTO accrues at a different rate.)
Paid holidays: 6 paid holidays per year.
Paid CE time: 24 hours of paid continuing education leave annually.
CE & business stipend: $2,500 yearly for classes, conferences, licensing, insurance, and other business-related expenses.
Uniform allowance: $250 annually.
Employee pet medical discount: Generous discounts for your pets’ care.
Gym membership: Access to a state-of-the-art gym, 100% company-sponsored.
Relocation assistance: Up to $3,000 toward relocation expenses.
