Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our welcoming and collaborative team in Troutdale, Oregon, just minutes from Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. We are open to both full-time and part-time veterinarians, with scheduling flexibility ranging from 1-4 days per week. Mondays are needed, but we are happy to build a schedule that supports your ideal work-life balance.
Founded in 1994, Paws & Claws has proudly provided exceptional veterinary care to pets and their families throughout Troutdale, Gresham, and the surrounding Portland metro area for nearly 30 years. Our experienced veterinarians routinely perform surgery. However, we also welcome veterinarians who prefer to focus on wellness, internal medicine, urgent care, or companion animal practice.

Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates
- Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
- Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
Preferred
- Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
- Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
- Interest in exotics medicine
- Interest in surgery and dentistry
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to medicine

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
