- Associate Veterinarian
Description
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop treatment plans
Diagnose and treat medical conditions in small animals
Perform routine and elective surgeries, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and other soft tissue procedures.
Provide preventive care, vaccinations, wellness exams, and client education.
Interpret laboratory results, digital radiographs, and diagnostic testing.
Develop and maintain accurate medical records.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Participate in emergency triage during regular business hours as needed.
Maintain current knowledge of veterinary medicine through continuing education.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
Eligible for or currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Kentucky
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent diagnostic and surgical abilities or a willingness to continue developing these skills
Commitment to practicing high-quality, compassionate medicine
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
