Do you have a smiling face and a servant’s heart?
Do you like to work with a team who values one another and has fun while keeping service and quality care at the forefront of what we do? We’d love to talk with you!
No After-Hours Emergency
Cross Point Veterinary Clinic offers family-friendly work hours with no after-hours emergency calls. We maintain a great rapport with a 24-hour ER practice in Corpus Christi, so you can be fully present at work — and fully present at home.
Who We Are
Cross Point Veterinary Clinic is a faith-driven, family-oriented mixed animal practice that has served the Taft, TX community for over 40 years. At CPVC, we exist as a crossing point in connecting people and communities while building God’s kingdom. We serve people by investing our passion into the care of their animals.
We like to think of ourselves as the “small town vet who offers big city services” — and we mean it. Our standards for Excellent Service, Quality Care, and Compassionate Team are high, and so is everything we offer in return.
We are currently a 2-doctor practice with skilled, knowledgeable technicians. We are honored to have been voted Best Veterinarian in San Patricio County six consecutive years by the readers of the San Patricio County News — a reflection of the trust and relationships we have built with our community over decades of service. And this year, we were honored to be recognized as the Best Employer in San Patricio County (under 50 employees) — an award that speaks not just to the care we give our patients, but to the care we invest in our people. And we’re growing — we are building a new, larger facility in Taft with an anticipated opening in the fall of 2027.
Our Capabilities
We are proud to offer in-house diagnostics and surgical capabilities that rival larger practices:
Diagnostics: Idexx CR Digital X-ray, Idexx Procyte, Catalyst, and Sedivue
Dental: Wet sink with Midmark VetPro 100 high-speed drill
Surgery: Operating room with 2 surgery tables, 3 anesthetic machines, and corresponding surgical monitors — with skilled technicians assisting every procedure
Hospital Care: Multiple large and small kennels for inpatient care
Staffing Model: 3 technicians per doctor
Life in Taft, TX
You get the best of both worlds here. Downtown Corpus Christi is just 20 minutes away, giving you access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and a vibrant coastal city — while Taft and the surrounding small towns offer beautiful properties, excellent-rated school districts, and the peace and community of rural South Texas living.
