What You’ll Do

•  Provide emergency and critical care for small animal patients (dogs and cats)
•  Perform diagnostics, triage, and treatment planning
• Conduct emergency surgeries and procedures
• Communicate clearly with pet owners about treatment options and costs
•  Work collaboratively with experienced technicians and support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Schedule Options

• 12-13 hour shifts
• Overnight, weekend, and holidays required
• Flexible rotations available, full time is generally 10-12 total shifts per month

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
•  Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Louisiana
•  Emergency experience not required
•  Ability to oversee and manage cases independently
•  Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure
•  Excellent communication and teamwork skills
