Are you an experienced veterinarian looking for the opportunity to lead, build, and shape a new hospital from the ground up? Coastal Veterinary Care is seeking a Head Veterinarian to guide our team.
Coastal Veterinary Care is a brand-new small animal practice located in Swansea, Massachusetts, just minutes from our sister hospital, Mass-RI Veterinary Services. This role offers a unique blend of clinical excellence, mentorship, and leadership, with the support of an established regional and national network.
Conveniently located near Providence, Rhode Island, and within easy driving distance of Boston, Swansea offers the best of coastal New England living - charming communities, access to beaches, and plenty of dining, shopping, and outdoor activities.
As Head Veterinarian, you will play a key role in shaping hospital culture, medical standards, and team development. You’ll work closely with hospital leadership and operations partners to create a collaborative, supportive environment focused on high-quality medicine and exceptional client care.
What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff
Establish and uphold high medical and ethical standards
Help design workflows, protocols, and team culture for a new hospital
Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical practice
Collaborate with nearby sister hospitals and specialists within the network

Requirements
- DVM, VMD or Equivialent
- MA Veterinary License
