Description
Southview Animal Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join one of Minnesota’s largest and most medically progressive small animal hospitals.
This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys fast-paced medicine, case variety, and greater clinical independence while still benefiting from the support, collaboration, and resources of a large multi-doctor hospital. With urgent care available seven days per week, Southview offers a strong platform for doctors to practice high-quality, same-day medicine in an environment designed to support both patients and clinicians.
What This Role Offers
Urgent care at Southview offers the best of both worlds: the pace and variety of same-day medicine with the support of experienced colleagues, advanced diagnostics, skilled technicians, 24-hour hospitalization support, and visiting specialists when cases require additional collaboration.
This role offers:
Greater autonomy and clinical independence within a collaborative hospital setting
A flexible urgent care model with scheduled arrival times and emergent walk-in availability
A diverse and engaging caseload
Advanced onsite diagnostics, including ultrasound, CT, and endoscopic procedures
Visiting specialist support, including cardiology, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery, is available, as is remote specialist support for radiology and more.
Collaboration with an experienced team of doctors, technicians, and support staff
The ability to remain hands-on in-patient care as cases move forward
Support from a hospital structure designed for more complex patient management
Southview’s urgent care model allows doctors to manage a wide range of cases while providing access to the people, tools, and resources needed to deliver thoughtful, efficient care. It is a great fit for a veterinarian who enjoys medical variety, problem-solving, client communication, and helping patients when timely access matters most.
We are seeking an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable navigating urgent care cases with greater independence while collaborating closely with a larger hospital team.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 plus production, commensurate with experience
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with match
Generous CE allowance
Uniform allowance
Access to mentorship and professional development resources, including PetOne Veterinary
Additional benefits and support through NVA
This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian seeking the pace of urgent care, the support of a collaborative hospital, and the chance to help shape the continued growth of urgent care medicine at Southview.
