Description
Willow Creek Veterinary Center is looking for a compassionate full-time or part-time veterinarian to join our team. Privately owned since 1974, our practice has built a long-standing reputation in Berks County for providing thoughtful, lifelong veterinary care to pets and the people who love them. We pride ourselves on creating individualized care plans for every pet and pet owner. Our team works together to support each patient through every stage of life.
About the Role
As a veterinarian at Willow Creek Veterinary Center, you will have the opportunity to practice high-quality small animal medicine in a supportive environment where patient care, client relationships, and teamwork come first.
Provide wellness, preventive, diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for companion animals and "farm friends", if you choose.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each pet’s needs and each owner’s goals.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about recommendations, options, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and fellow team members to deliver excellent patient care with a little bit of fun and laughter throughout the day.
Maintain accurate medical records and support a positive, organized clinical workflow.
Practice Highlights
We believe in work-life balance and offer flexible scheduling for our doctors. Full-time schedules feature a four-day work week with occasional Saturday shifts. Appointment times can also be adjusted based on your comfort level and approach to patient care.
A privately owned practice that supports a spectrum of care while maintaining a high standard of medicine.
A caring team that works together and supports one another made up of full-time and part-time Certified Veterinary technicians, a full-time dedicated lab technician, team of Customer Service representatives and group of technician assistants.
Our spacious facility is equipped with a surgical suite, full in-house laboratory, dental radiology, digital radiography, a Konica Minolta ultrasound machine, and an attached barn.
Opportunities for growth—we encourage our doctors to explore their interests. This has allowed us to offer acupuncture services and a holistic medicine approach, canine rehabilitation with laser therapy and underwater treadmill services led by our CCRT, and care for "farm-friend" species such as goats, sheep, llamas, and alpacas.
We offer competitive six-figure compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance, liability insurance, a retirement plan, PTO, an annual CE allowance, membership dues for AVMA, PVMA, and VIN, and coverage of state licensing and DEA fees.
We provide room for professional growth, mentorship, and continuing education, and we are willing to invest in the equipment and educational opportunities that help you pursue your interests.
Join Our Team
If you are looking for a veterinary home that treats others with respect, approaches challenges with positivity, communicates with clarity, acts with empathy, and contributes collaboratively to create an environment where everyone can do their best work to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families, we would love to hear from you.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is caring, dependable, and team-oriented, with a genuine commitment to building lasting relationships and providing excellent care for pets. Experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent.
Licensed and in good standing in PA or able to obtain licensure.
Strong communication and client education skills.
Commitment to compassionate, individualized patient care.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
